<div>Mycelium Textiles consists of two series of</div><div>experimental textile design prototypes that</div><div>explore the potential of bio-based mycelium</div><div>techniques combined with textiles to develop</div><div>new bio-integrated processes for sustainable textile fabrication and embellishment.</div><div>Mycelium is the underground root system of</div><div>fungi. By inducing a sterilised food substrate</div><div>with mycelium liquid cultures or mycelium</div><div>spawn it is possible to grow new materials</div><div>exploiting the mycelium transformation of</div><div>the food substrate into a material usable in a</div><div>textile context.</div>
