Using Nick Sousani's Unflattening as a theoretical framework, this paper examines the complex relationship between taste, cultural traditions and aesthetic value by analyzing Ranma 1/2's chapter on ``The Martial Art of Fast Eating`` and Gaston Lagaffe's gastronomic misadventures.

Biography
Amine Harbi holds a Master's Degree in Mass Communications from Oklahoma State University and a Magister in Communication and Governance from Annaba University. He has taught communication and media studies and served as an Assistant Professor at Souk Ahras University. Currently, he is President of Anime Grandi Academy in Canada where he focuses on fostering creativity in education and arts.
